Labor costs vary depending on the type of repair and appliance needing service.
Labor rates are NOT based on the time a technician spends in the home. Operating a service organization involves costs that are unseen by the customer that are vital to perform prompt and efficient service. Examples of these costs are the technician’s ongoing training expense, costly test equipment, office personnel, rent, parts inventory, and much more.
You are hiring an entire company for fast and efficient service, rather than the technician alone. That is why we base our labor charges on industry standards for each individual type of repair.
The diagnostic fee goes toward the cost of the repair when you use us to complete the repair. The diagnostic fee will be paid when you schedule your appointment. This guarantees your appointment slot on the day and time you choose for the repair. Your appointment slot cannot be guaranteed if the diagnostic fee hasn’t been paid prior to the date of service. *
How that the diagnostic fee works is one of our technicians will come out and see what is going on with the unit/diagnose it. From there our technician will provide you an estimate for the cost of labor and parts, if needed. If you decide to do the repair the diagnostic fee goes toward the cost of the repair. If you decide not to do the repair, you then just pay the diagnostic fee.
*If your appliance is covered under manufacturer warranty, the diagnostic fee does not have to be paid up front when warranty coverage can be verified with proof of purchase.
Yes, with less than 24-hour notice you will be charged the full diagnostic fee for cancellation. This diagnostic fee will not be applied to a reschedule and will not go toward the cost of the repair. You will be charged an additional diagnostic fee to have the technician come back out.
Same applies for no-show. If the technician arrives and you are not there and have not made prior arrangements or signed the waver to let the technician enter the property. You will be charged an additional diagnostic fee to have the technician come back out.

Yes, you will get a call when your technician is on his way.
Signed waver is required! No, You do not have to be home we can send a waiver for you to sign and return, that states it is okay for our technician to be in your home without you present.
Yes, at a discounted additional cost! We will gladly look at multiple appliances at the same time as your appointment. You just need to notify us if you want your technician to inspect another appliance.
We provide service for most manufacturer warranties please contacts the office to see if we service your warranty company.
No, We are a 3rd party and have no control over what your warranty company does. We are simply the middleman dispatched to help get you taken care of.
Your warranty company will set a TENTATIVE appointment. They will send a dispatch to us, then we MUST talk to you to schedule the FINAL appointment. This will be based on our schedule, technician availability and will also let us verify your information is correct.
Appliance Rx offers a 30-day labor warranty & a 5-year parts warranty for any and all repairs that are the same issue. Exclusions apply: Neglect or Abuse related breakage, no control boards, no compressors, or lightning strikes. Must have original invoice from Appliance Rx for proof of purchase.
Our vehicles are stocked with many of the parts that are required on a lot of different appliances. Hopefully, we can fix your machine same day, if not we will order the part same day and return to your home at our next available opening.
It takes about 5-7 business days to get parts in unless the item is on backorder. You will be notified when your parts are in so that we can get you scheduled.
Our service technicians are certified, licensed, and insured. All work is guaranteed. We take pride in customer satisfaction. We are insured for Commercial customers as well.
We love to support our Active-Duty Military, Service-Connected Veterans, and Retired Military. If you have one of these Id’s (Must be Present). We will take 10% off the service call if the machine is not repaired or 10% off the labor if we do the repair. Thank you for your service!
We do! You may tip our team to show your appreciation to our technicians and office staff for services you were satisfied with. While you are able to tip our team, Appliance Rx is committed to providing competitive wages to our staff, so there is never any obligation to tip. Under no circumstances are tips ever distributed to owners, management, or supervisors.
